The Nowruz Meeting Between the President of Khatam University and the University Staff

According to the public relations and website of Khatam University, the New Year meeting of the president of Khatam University with faculty members and colleagues of this university was held on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at Khatam University.

At the beginning of this meeting, which was held in the form of a sincere conversation with the aim of mutual understanding in order to improve the performance of various units of the university in the new year, Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University, in his speech, gave a good omen to this year's Nowruz with the holy month of Ramadan. He referred to the coincidence of the last days of this year with the first days of the holy month of Ramadan in the next year of the lunar calendar. He further added: “This year will be blessed as it started with Ramadan and will end with this holy month.”

While referring to the subject of supplication in this month, he considered trust in God along with perseverance and effort to be the guarantee of success in affairs and added: “Nobody should stop trying to fulfill their wishes and should be ambitious. In order to achieve success, everyone must work hard.”

In a recommendation to his colleagues at Khatam University, Dr. Ghasemi emphasized the need to consider the issue of public good in the use of modern knowledge and science and added: “If we ignore the public good in our work, it should be said that we have done something in vain. For example, in the issue of using artificial intelligence, one should actually act more intelligently so that the issue of public good would not be sidelined.”

The President of Khatam University also considered the issue of digitization of the economy as an important issue in today's world and suggested the staff of Khatam University pay more attention to this issue in the new year.

Dr. Ghasemi also responded to the point of one of the faculty members who stated that Khatam University has made significant achievements in many scientific fields, but society is not very aware of these achievements. “We are a brand book and this issue should be implemented within the framework of issues related to public relations and information,” he said.

In another part of his speech, the president of Khatam University mentioned the latest progress of the Khatam University campus project, which is being built near the campus city and is scheduled to be completed by 2026.

According to Ghasemi, the total area of the Khatam University campus project is 49 hectares, of which 420,000 square meters are buildings. The university campus includes 10 faculties, 12 research institutes, and a central library with a capacity of one million books.

In this sincere meeting, issues such as the need to revise some of the course topics in light of today's technological advances, more use of artificial intelligence in the educational processes of the university, the need for the interaction of different scientific groups to carry out joint projects, and many more were discussed by some faculty members of the university.
